As a nurse with Duke Home Care & Hospice, you will be part of an expert interdisciplinary team to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients and their families by meeting the patient where they are. Through innovative and thoughtful care, you will be able to keep patients out of the hospital and in their homes where they are most comfortable. To perform your best, you will receive extensive orientation training, opportunities for ongoing education and superb support from leadership.
As a home infusion nurse, you will administer infusion therapy to patients in their homes for a variety of treatments. By teaching them the proper techniques, you are empowering patients and their loved ones to play an active role in their own care from the comfort of their own home. You’ll receive extensive orientation training as well as unmatched support from your care team and leadership.
As a nurse with Duke HomeCare & Hospice, you will have an opportunity to live out Duke’s mission of caring for our patients and their families in truly rewarding ways. While working with our Hospice department, you will have the opportunity to care for patients at their most vulnerable state of being, keeping them as comfortable as possible and helping family members support each other during this challenging time. In addition, you will help patients and their loved ones learn to let go in peace and comfort. To be prepared for this role, you will receive extensive orientation training, plus ongoing education and support from your leadership and colleagues.
As an on-call nurse for both home health and hospice at Duke HomeCare & Hospice, you will have the opportunity to experience full autonomy in your profession by providing care for a wide range of disease processes as well as end-of-life care. By helping patients achieve greater comfort and other positive outcomes, you will help them stay out of the hospital and at home where they prefer to be. To prepare for this role, you will be provided with an extensive cross-training orientation plus exceptional support from leadership and your colleagues.
