There are so many ways to offer support by lending your time and talents.

Our work would not be possible without the generosity of our donors and the time given by our volunteers who help keep our operational costs low. With your support, we can continue to make major strides toward improving care for our community.

Become a Volunteer

There are a variety of ways for volunteers to assist our patients and their families, including in-home patient/family support, committee involvement for our annual gala, becoming a Patient Family Advisory Council Member (PFAC) and helping with administrative support. Learn more about becoming a volunteer and the volunteer opportunities available with Duke HomeCare & Hospice.  You can also download a PDF brochure with this information.

Become a Patient Family Advisory Council Member

The Duke Hospice Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) is a volunteer program in which our patients and their family members can provide insight on their experiences with hospice care. Our PFAC provides direct and timely input to Duke Hospice leaders about a broad range of initiatives and practices with the goal of delivering the best possible services to patients, their families, and our community.

If you're interested in joining our PFAC or want to learn more, please contact Kellie Brockman.

I am passionate about the work of hospice because it touches the whole family transformatively. Hospice helps families navigate what can be a trying and grief-stricken part of life.
