​​​​​​Prior to working at Duke HomeCare & Hospice, Lisa worked as a time surveyor with The Joint Commission, a nonprofit organization that evaluates health care organizations in order to improve health care for the public. In that role, she saw operations succeed and fail in their quality endeavors. She joined our organization because she wanted to be a part of fixing problems, not just identifying them. When not working, Lisa spends time with her family and “fur babies.” She enjoys watercolor and binge watching series on Netflix.

To care for the sick is a gift. To care for the dying is a blessing. Infusing hope and health among patients and their families is a privilege. To do these things in the privacy of the patient’s home...is sacred.
